| During the summer of 2003, the Mineral Primm Fire affected 25,000 acres of forestland northeast of Missoula, Montana. Fire suppression costs topped $22 million. Plum Creek Timber Company owns the majority of the land burned in the fire. The remaining land is managed by the Lolo National Forest, including a portion of the Rattlesnake Wilderness Area. |
